How is it possible to install 12 toolbars in your browser?! [Image]

There was a time when toolbars were considered an innovation in computing and were regarded as helpful tools by many people. Even to this day some people like having specific toolbars in their browser(s). However, by and large toolbars are now hated by most people due to how developers and companies abused them, forcing toolbars onto people who didn’t want them.

Now, I realize that bundled crapware is the norm in programs nowadays, so it is easy to accidentally install a toolbar. But accidentally install 12?! That just blows my mind. Check it out:

…You would think after five or six the user of the computer would do something about them…

Apparently the person who had this on her computer complained to tech support that her “internet wasn’t working”. Go figure.

@Everyone doubting: This looks to be real. As I mentioned in the post, this image was posted by tech support who was contacted by a lady claiming her “internet wasn’t working”. If you look closely at the image, you will see that the screen you see on the monitor is a VPN (something like TeamViewer — look at the top middle) and the tech support is remotely logged in when he saw the toolbars.

@Donna: We’re not talking about elderly people here, there are many young and middle aged people out there that just don’t have a clue. I’ve also met some elderly people who are quite computer savy.

BTW, my son comes to me to fix his pc whenever he has problems, and I can be counted as an elderly person.

OMG, don’t be mean you all. There are plenty of elderly people out there that just have a hard time with PC’s. My mom being one of them who is 82.

If this person has that many toolbars that they don’t know how they got, imagine how many programs they have that they don’t know how they go. I am wondering how the PC is even running considering all the spyware and junk that also is more then most likely on the PC.

But then again, I got a chuckle out of it!
