Zengaku is a number crunching brain teaser. It is like Sudoku, but with addition and a couple other wrinkles fused in. Much like Sudoku, you can only have the number 1-9 used once vertically and horizontally without any repetition. Zengaku, though, adds the twist that each adjacent grouping of numbers must equal the sum listed in the green triangle to the left or above it (as seen in the screenshot). Another twist is added in as well, with any two adjacent open squares linked by a circle being consecutive integers (i.e. digits). You also have the option of listing all of the possibilities for each open square, a feature seen in most well-developed Sudoku apps.
I thoroughly enjoy this game. My suggestion is to download the lite version and try out the puzzles to see how much you like it. Chances are you will be addicted immediately and then support the developer by paying for the 250 puzzles in the premium version. For informational purposes, the app has 5 levels of difficulty (Mini, Jumbled, Easy, Medium, Hard), each with 50 puzzles, so that you can work your way from the lower levels to the top levels of game play.
