What keeps people hooked on smartphones are apps. As if people outside classrooms weren’t already addicted to apps, Google is taking a step further by launching Google Play for Education Store today. With Google Play for Education Store, educators will be able to buy and install apps in large numbers and distribute them among students or across tablets commissioned by the institution.
All apps with educational content will be available in the Google Play for Education Store, but apps reviewed by an educator will be given a special badge of recognition, and an overview of the information that the app possesses and its target audience will also be provided.
The store will have videos and miscellaneous educational content in addition to educational apps, but Google Play for Education Store will only be available on tablets for now.
