What Is It and What Does It Do

  • Ideal for quick and simple browsing through various social networks
  • No annoying glitches and errors

Cons

  • You cannot use the app to upload photos to Instagram

Discussion

Networkey for Android AppNetworkey is a simple and straightforward social media management app. What it does is that it lets you access a total of ten social networks in just one place. Speaking of which, you can use this app to access and manage Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Plus, Tumblr, MySpace, Flickr and YouTube.

The interface of Networkey is also neat and simple. Each social network is placed on a separate tab. So if ever you want to log in to Facebook, just go to the Facebook tab. If you want to log in to Twitter, just go the Twitter tab. The same goes for the rest of the supported social networks.

With Networkey, you are basically logging in to the web version of the above listed social networks. Thus, you cannot expect the app to give you a bunch of advanced options like scheduling tweets, posting to multiple social accounts at once, etc. As for Instagram, the app can only allow you to access your Instagram web profile. Therefore, you won’t be able to use it to upload photos to your Instagram account.

Apparently, Networkey has its own set of drawbacks. Functionality wise, it’s still lacking in many aspects but it’s good to know that it is stable and responsive enough for you to use on a regular basis. It’s just that you cannot really expect this app to provide you with tools and features that can be compared to that of Seesmic, HootSuite and even TweetCaster. It’s mostly intended for quick and simple browsing through various social networks.

All in all, the concept for Networkey is good but with its current list of features, there’s still a lot of room for more. In other words, it can still be improved by adding a variety of advanced tools and functionalities such as the ability to post to multiple social networks in just one press of a button. It would also be nice if this app can add support for scheduling tweets and posts.

On the brighter side, it’s a good option for users who do not like to frequently switch apps just so they could view and comment to the posts that appears on their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr and Instagram feeds.

Conclusion and Download Link

Networkey is good and simple. It does what it is intended to do and that is to let you access multiple social media accounts in just one application. It’s also stable and responsive. Plus, it’s free from annoying glitches and errors. However, it may not be the best choice if ever you’re looking for an advanced social media management app. It’s only good for quick and simple browsing but if you don’t have any problem with that, then go ahead and feel free to check it out.
