How to find and remove duplicate files in Dropbox and Google Drive [Tip]

Filters can help you search for specific files on your cloud storage folders. Still, these filters won’t suffice if your goal is to free up some storage space by deleting duplicates. So if you think that your cloud storage account is already running out of storage space, you can do a general cleaning and delete the duplicates.

Don’t know how? Well, go ahead and read this post. Do note that this method only applies to Android platforms.

How to find and remove duplicate files in Dropbox and Google Drive

  • On your Android device, download and install “Unclouded”. It is a free application that you can get at the Google Play Store.
  • After installing Unclouded, launch it and then go through its welcome guide.
  • After which, you’ll be asked to log in to one of your existing cloud storage accounts. You can choose whether to log in to Dropbox, Google Drive, BOX or OneDrive account.

I disagree. Dropbox looks great and has a lot of apps but its actually limited in some areas. The storage you get is not much and it’s so hard to get referrals unless you pay for them. Alternative is Hubic, slower but huge space. Here is a referral for Hubic and it still works, as of today at least…
https://hubic.com/nl/offers?referral=CYHNPO ….. Sign up with this link
and you get 30GB signup space instead of the regular 25GB at Hubic. So
that’s 30GB space with signup and additional 25GB for a total of 55Gb
with additional 5 referrals. That’s massive and like 16gb from Dropbox.
Why do people still sign up for Dropbox. Go figure.. why would people sign for your Barracuda Copy if they no longer offer the unlimited program. It’s no longer interesting and almost same as other companies. If you go with Hubic here is the ref link to get extra space.
