In case you didn’t already know, there is a new universal one-click rooting method in town and it goes by the name of KingRoot. The developers dubbed it the King of all roots because it roots nearly all Android devices. As the developers continue to update the universal one-click rooting tool, they get it to work on more devices. One of the latest breakthroughs is with the G Pad 7.0 by AT&T according to reports from some users.

REQUIREMENTS

• You must download the latest version of the KingRoot app for this guide to work on your LG G Pad 7.0 by AT&T. A user writes he had tried KingRoot before, but it didn’t work. However, after the KingRoot team updated the app recently, the KingRoot tool now works on the AT&T LG G Pad.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

• You need to enable the Unknown Sources option for your LG G Pad device by pointing to the Menu > Settings > Security > Unknown Sources.
• You are voiding the warranty on your G Pad by following this guide. You can use the KingUser app that comes with your device to unroot it and return back to the stock ROM. When you do that successfully, the warranty should work again without any worries.

ROOTING AT&T LG G PAD 7.0

1. Download the Kingroot universal one-click rooting app for your Android from here.
   – we think the app will work for your device, but try the desktop version if the app doesn’t work. Alternatively, search for the latest APK version.
2. Download the KingRoot APK file directly to the computer.
3. Transfer the file over to the desktop of the computer.
4. Connect the LG G Pad 7.0 device to the computer using the USB cable.
5. Copy the KingRoot rooting APK over to the root of your device’s SD card internal storage.
6. Unplug the LG G Pad from the computer once you are happy the file is now on your SD card.
7. Launch any file manager you have on your device, or download one from the Google Play Store/other third-party sources if you want to roll with an open source version.
8. Install the KingRoot APK file using your file manager and it should turn it into app form and available from your app drawer.
9. Tap your finger over the large Rooting button you can see from the apps main page. The wording of this button can vary, but there is only one button to press on the page so you cannot miss it.
10. Soon the KingRoot tool will now ping back the data from its own servers and proceed with rooting your device.
11. Hold tight and wait until you can see the success bar reach 100%.
12. Now you can exit the app and reboot the LG G Pad tablet.

Once you reboot the LG G Pad tablet, head over to the Google Play Store and start installing your apps. You do not need to install the SuperSU on your device because the KingRoot comes with its own KingUser that acts like the SuperSU normally would on your device. However, there is a trick you can perform to swap that KingUser for SuperSU if you prefer it.
