These are the instructions to root Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 smartphones with the model number SM-G710L running on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. The guide uses the Odin flashing tool made by Samsung developers but never officially released. In addition to the Odin flashing tool, it utilizes the CF-Auto-Root one-click rooting package by Chainfire which installs and enabled SuperSU on your Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone.
REQUIREMENTS
- You must have the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 LTE-A smartphone with the SM-G710L model number to use this guide without bricking the smartphone. You can double-check what model number comes with your Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone by tapping on the Menu > Settings > About Device > Model Number.

Report any Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 devices that are not booting to Chainfire via the official XDA Developers thread that is made for the CF-Auto-Root tool. Sometimes new software updates on your devices can bring in new bootloaders and Chainfire needs to update the files when that happens. The changes will be made automatically in our files due to the fact that we are linking directly to Chainfire’s files.
