About Android Apps of the Day
Android has over 450,000 apps. With so many apps out there, app discovery (aka finding new and useful apps) is extremely difficult. With our Android Apps of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three apps, allowing our readers to discover new apps, daily. Enjoy! Apps for April 13, 2012
Battery HD
Battery HD serves two purposes. Firstly, Battery HD tells users exactly how much battery they have left — you can view battery percentage either in the main app, use a 1×2 or 2×1 widget, or put Battery HD in the notification bar/pull down menu. Secondly, Battery HD attempts to predict how long your remaining charge will last based on what you use your device for; Battery HD makes predictions for audio and video playback, Internet usage (WiFi and network), talk time, 2D/3D games, GPS, video chat, taking photos, recording videos, using the LED camera flash (if applicable), and reading.
Battery HD comes in two versions. Battery HD (free) is fully functional but ad-supported. Battery HD Pro is ad-free.

Dr. Parking 2
Dr. Parking 2 is an Android game in which you learn to park. Using on-screen accelerator, break, and steering wheel you must park a vehicle in its designated spot. As you progress through the levels, the parking spots get tougher. Dr. Parking 2 has four different vehicles you can park (a small car, a sedan, a truck, and a bus) with each vehicle having nine levels.
If you really like Dr. Parking 2, you can go back and play Dr. Parking (the original one).
Version discovered: v1.04
Requires: Android 2.1 and up
Download size: 3 MB
Strike Knight
Strike Knight is a simple bowling game for Android with a twist. First of all, instead of using a bowling ball you use a puck to knock down the pins; you slide the puck with your finger towards the pins getting two tries per frame. Secondly, while playing you are “heckled” by a the “Strike Knight” and other characters who say stuff, make noises, etc. Thirdly… oh wait there is no thirdly — that is all there is to Strike Knight.
Strike Knight can be played in single player or “pass & play” mode in which each person takes a turn then passes the Android device to someone else.
Version discovered: v1.0.0
Requires: Android 2.1 and up
Download size: 17 MB
dotTechies: We have tested all the apps listed above. However, Android Apps of the Day articles are not intended as “reviews” but rather as “heads-up” to help you discover new apps. Always use your best judgement when downloading apps, such as trying trial/free versions before purchasing paid apps, if applicable.
