1 year $0.99 domain from GoDaddy promo is back.

Over the past year I have been posting about GoDaddy.com promotions on how to get domains for really cheaper. They are the come-and-go type of promotions. Well the promo is back.

For a limited time (until May 1st or first 5000 redemptions) you can get 1 year domain registration for $0.99 + $0.20 ICANN fee to equal a grand total of $1.19! Just enter 99BUYCOM in the coupon code box at your cart right before you check out. This is limited to one use of this coupon code per account. Each domain registration includes free extras such as email and hosting (the hosting is limited and has ads on it but more then enough for someone that wants to, lets say, blog).

I have confirmed the coupon code to work with the following types of domains:

If you know of any other domains that this coupon works with let me know. If you are interested in this offer, visit GoDaddy.com now.

While we are on this topic, note that all .INFO domains at GoDaddy.com are $0.99 – no coupon required and no limit per account – in case you are interested.

Remember after the first year GoDaddy.com will charge you a $9.99 renewal fee per domain per year. However you can usually find coupons for $7.49 renewals. If you don’t want to renew your domain, be sure to cancel before they charge you!

I just signed up for 1 year of unlimited shared hosting + free domain name with Dreamhost for $9.24.

I’m not sure how long that is going on for, but for those who missed out on that $0.99 deal, you might want to look into this.

The only thing now is to figure out how to transfer the hosting for my $0.99 GoDaddy domain while keeping it registered at GoDaddy.

  • I definitely found that useful Shanna. I was also going to use the $0.99 code as well but didn’t get to it in time. The emma3/30/35 codes really add a big discount.

Rats, I was too slow :( These are the usual coupons I use when I buy Go Daddy stuff:

emma1 = 10% off any order, no minimum spend
    emma2 = 20% off any order over $30 or £25
emma3 = any .com domain for $7.49 (works on new domains and renewals)
emma30 = any .com domain for $7.49 (works on new domains and renewals)
emma35 = any .com domain for $7.49 (works on new domains and renewals)

They don’t expire, which is helpful – and can be used on darn near every order. Hopefully someone will find these useful :)

I got in just in time :)

  • Jean-Luc Picard is happy about the Star Trek movie being out

    Deal expired :(

  • Dan,
Not as far as I know. I am a repeat GoDaddy customer and I have used these deals many times; in fact I just need to think of a domain name so I can register a new domain :D

However this promo is for new domains only – it will not work for domain renewals.

This sounds like a great deal, I only have one question, is this only for first time GoDaddy customers?

Thanks for the great heads up Ash :)

  • .BIZ is only for business (for now).

The rest are open to everyone; yes you can get a .US.

.MOBI is supposed to be for mobile companies or website or something; it is open to the general public now.

    Hi, Ashraf…..

Of the six domains you’ve listed, .COM .NET .ORG .BIZ .US .MOBI does one hold more flexibility than the others?

Are there rules? Like… I’m a private citizen (at least I like to think so) can I use .US?

I know there used to be rules at one time.
Are the rules more lax now?

I’m off now to check, will let you know what I’ve found.

    ???.MOBI??? What group uses MOBI?
