Text-based social networks are boring. There’s no life in them at all. On social networks like Facebook, Google+, and Twitter, you can sometimes post photos and videos, but most people just post text. Bubbly is different: it’s a primarily voice-powered social network. Instead of just reading boring text posts, you can listen to people’s voices, complete with real emotion.
Bubbly is great for sharing voice and audio posts. If you have a message you want to post, just tap the + button, then the Audio button. You can then record either a voice message, or even any other audio you want.
The major downside to Bubbly is that it doesn’t do cross-posting to Facebook or Twitter. That means you can only use Bubbly if your friends also use Bubbly. It’s really something you have to convince a large number of friends to use to make it useful, but if you do, it can actually be quite nice.
Overall, Bubbly is a nice little social network. However, its lack of users–especially people you might know–is a major downside, and it’s unfortunately not as useful as you might think.
