Timezone Clock provides a way to keep track of times in other timezones. The app currently supports upwards of 8000 cities worldwide and possesses quite an aesthetically pleasing user interface.
Timezone Clock’s “World” screen consists of a list of all times you want to keep track of in a nice nicely designed iOS table. You have the option of using the converter option to convert a chosen time to what it would be in any of the supported cities around the world. The app also provides a map view of all times listed as pinned cities.
The app’s People tab allows you to add multiple social groups to keep tabs on and provides a very intriguing feature for adding events to your default iOS calendar. If you add the event from within the app, then it will not only add the event to your iOS calendar, but will add the correct time for each member of the group (in their timezone) to the notes section. For anyone used to communicating with people across timezones and trying to set up plans online with them, this is a handy feature.
Timezone Clock also provides an alarm setting feature for anywhere in the world. So if you have a conference call with Japan at 9:30 am on Wednesday, you can set the alarm for that time and the app will take care of the timezone change. I can see how some users would appreciate something like that as it takes more thought away from the user and therefore adds to their productivity.
Though this app won’t be useful for everyone, it was worth the review for the folks who have friends and/or family in different timezones.
