Wish is an intriguing product discovery app that could save you some money.  The app provides a large selection of popular product categories that you can browse through at your leisure. Each category contains many interesting products, each with a photo and link to the website it originated from. If you particularly like an item and you want a chance to win a related reward, then use a “wish” on it. The item immediately goes on your wish profile for all your friends and family to see (if they have the app).

So I am sure everyone wants to know how that wish might lead to a reward. You can earn a reward if you upload a product that becomes popular with users, upload a large number of products, by recommending products to friends, or if you and many other users wish on the same item. The rewards can range anywhere from rebates to group deals to Amazon gift cards. Wish rewards are alerted to the user by email and through notifications on the phone. It is worth noting that the company is able to run a site like this through vendor relationships that end up be mutually beneficent.

Though I have not used Wish long enough to get a reward, the user interface is quite appealing and the app itself is very easy to use. If you can get your friends and family to sign up, the whole concept could help a lot with gift-giving as well, because everyone has their own little wish list of items. I don’t believe you can run out of wishes either, but you can only “wish” on an item once.
