Discussion
Slice is an interesting game that really has no counterpart in the Google Play Store. What is great about this game, is that it can get extremely challenging the higher you go. It also uses a great variety and combination of controls and functions. The actual controls are incredibly familiar as the primary gesture you use is swiping. The simplicity of the gestures provides a great contrast to the overall difficulty of the game when you get into the higher levels.
The object of the game is to slow the ball(s) down enough to move onto the next level. You do this by cutting away parts of the map you are on. The more you cut away, the more the balls slow down. The difficulty lies in the amount of balls you have to slow down. When you first start out, you have one ball to slow down. However, as you progress, the number of balls you have to slow down becomes dramatically higher. This obviously gives you much less room to cut parts of the map away.
While this game is fun and simple, there are a few minor aspects that take away from the enjoyment. For starters, the beginning levels are overwhelmingly easy. I understand that this is important because it provides a good way to introduce new players to a new concept, but I still don’t feel like it should be as easy as it is right off the bat. Additionally, the game can be incredibly buggy and had caused quite a bit of problems for users across multiple devices.
Conclusion and download link
Overall, this is a great game that provides tons of entertainment. The true value of this game lies with the simplicity of the controls. It is nice to have a game that is easy to control but capable of a very high difficulty level. Most users have reported very pleasurable gameplay and relatively few bugs. However, if you have specific handsets, you must be prepared for certain glitches or straight-up disfunctionality.
