Requirements
This root guide is for the XOLO X1000 running Android 4.o Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is specifically for the XOLO X1000.
Take note this will void the warranty of your device. Proceed at your own risk.
Before We Begin
Create a folder on your desktop called Android-root.
You’ll need a micro USB cable handy.
Download and install the Xolo Android USB drivers to your Windows PC. They can be found here.
Download the rooting package to your Windows PC. Once downloaded, extract Impactor_0.9.14.zip to the folder Android-root you previously created on your Desktop.
USB debugging mode needs to be enabled. Go to settings, then developer options. Once in developer options, look for the USB debugging checkbox and tick the box to enable it.
How To Root Device
Plug in your X100o into your PC using your micro USB cable. After connecting your device, navigate to the Android-root folder on your desktop. Inside the folder locate Impactor.exe and run it.
Impactor.exe by default will show # drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su. Make sure it stays that way. IF it’s not selected for some reason, select it. After selecting, press the start button. This will begin the rooting. It may take a while. Be patient and let it finish.
Once finish, reboot your Xolo X1000. Once back in Android, you’ll have root access!
