The Gionee Elife E3 has been around since it came with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. The Indian manufacturer of smartphones was nice enough to continue rolling out many Android OS updates passed then and eventually settling with Android 4.4.2 KitKat which is still one of the most popular Android operating system versions today. Now you can root Gionee Elife E3 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat by following the guide after the jump.

Once you have access to that Gionee root file system, you can start thinking about installing new apps like the NANDroid Manager. Most people know the word ‘NANDroid’ after installing a custom recovery like TWRP recovery or CWM recovery. Taking a NANDroid backup is the default backup option from the custom recovery. BEFORE WE BEGIN

HOW TO ROOT GIONEE ELIFE E3 RUNNING ANDROID 4.4.2 KITKAT

1. Download the Framaroot file from this page directly to the computer and shift it over to the desktop.
2. Connect the Gionee Elife E3 smartphone to the computer and transfer the APK file over to the root of the SD card.
3. Unplug the device from the computer once you know you have the Framaroot app on the SD card.
4. On your device, navigate to the Menu > Settings > Security > Unknown Sources and enable the same.
