Create custom fonts for your computer (for free).

Ever wanted to create your own font on the computer? Ever wanted to convert your handwriting into a computer font? Well you have come to the right place.

…Okay I did not mean to make this sound like an infomercial (maybe I kind of did). The point is that with the service I am about to introduce you to, you can easily create your own font and even use it on your computer (or distribute it to others). It is very easy to do – all you need is a computer, a printer, a scanner, a pen (permanent marker preferred) and about 10-20 minutes worth of time (give or take depending on how fast you work and/or how careful you are).

Here are examples of fonts created by others:

I also created my own font…but the handwriting is so bad, I am too embarrassed to show it. Thank god for typing.

So are you still interested? Visit YourFonts.com and just follow the step by step directions to have your very own font within minutes.

Did I miss something? I tried Feb 11, and several times since, but it always says 9.95 to get it. looks like you can make a font & preview it, but to have it to use is ten bucks?

I’m probably understanding it; it wasn’t clear.
    Thanks for any help!

  • No I don’t. Well I can’t say I have not read Lifehacker articles before but I am not a regular if that is what you are asking.
