The times are a changing, for things are no longer the same. There was a time when TV advertisements were made with expensive equipments and some random guy called Bob. However, one company is taking a completely different approach to TV advertising, and we love it. According to Adweek, Dunkin Donuts debuted a 5 second advertisement on ESPN made entirely with Vine.
(For those that don’t know, Vine is a video sharing service by Twitter that allows people to share short 6 second videos.)
Wait a minute, is this real? Yeah dude, it is. You know, this type of activity could change the advertisement scene in a very good way. Instead of hiring advertisement firms to help with promoting products or whatever, simply save money by using the available Vine tools. Come on, it’s a no-brainer because no one wants to watch a 30 second ad, because usually they are more uninteresting than a game of Golf.
We’ve seen the ad and found it to be sexy, straightforward and to the point. No special effects, no woman flashing her hair, and no narrator telling you how awesome it is to eat at Dunkin Donut. We hope to see similar ads on TV in the near future, if it catches on, you can be sure Instagram will mimic Vine once more.
