Android isn’t necessarily known as the best OS out there but it is without a doubt the most powerful operating systems for customization. There’s not much you can’t tweak from the Settings, but those who want to take it a step further generally can with an abundance of rooting guides for just about all devices on all firmware/software versions. One feature you can alter without root access and without voiding the warranty is creating a custom Settings shortcut widget on Android. Here’s how to do that:
BEFORE WE BEGIN
- Check your battery level on the Android device so it doesn’t shut down during the guide.
- You are not voiding the warranty by following the guide. You are not gaining root access or doing anything that your manufacturer doesn’t want you doing from the Settings they made for you.
HOW TO CREATE SETTINGS SHORTCUT WIDGETS ON ANDROID
- Turn on your Android device and unlock the home screen.
- Tap and hold down your finger on the home screen to bring up the Settings.
- Tap over the “Widgets” option.
- Scroll down the list until you find “Settings Shortcut”.
- Now you can view a list of possible options to add to your widget.
- Pick and choose the customization you want to have on yours.
- As with most modern-day operating systems, once you swap or move around widget you don’t need to confirm that action. Just navigate your way out of there and see the results!
