Apps for June 17, 2012

Flashlight – 4 in 1

Flashlight – 4 in 1 gives you more than just a regular flashlight from either your screen or the light on the back of your device (which is ideal for iPhone 4 and 4s). You also get a magnifying glass that uses the devices camera to help you read or look at things that you are unable to see. The magnified image is shown on your device’s screen. There is a strobe light that you can control how often it will flash. The last thing You get is a Morse code generator.  All you do is type what you want to say and play it which will give not only the flashes of light on the screen, but it will also give you the sound the Morse code so you could understand how it sounds like.

Bookmark.com

Bookmark.com is a service that you can save your bookmarks on their servers so you can those bookmarks from anywhere. In order to use this app, you must have saved some bookmarks from your computer. This app does not back up your mobile Safari’s bookmarks. You can back up Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and the computer version of Safari. If you access the link from within your Bookmark.com app, the app will launch a web page on your screen so you know what that was if you forgot about the link.

You will need to create a login in order to retrieve these bookmarks. After installing the software, you might have an error for the program not to work with Firefox or Chrome. If you have the latest version of Firefox, then the program on the web site will not work with that browser. The same goes for Chrome since it gets silently updated on the fly.
