“The solution to oversleeping” [Comic]

Back in the day (clearly before my time), people used analog (then digital) alarm clocks to wake them up in the morning (or any other time of the day). With the advent of the modern smartphone courtesy Apple, many people (including myself) simply use alarm clock apps on their phones (or tablets) to wake them up.

If you are like me, when the alarm on your phone/tablet rings, you probably ‘snooze’ it and keep snoozing it until you realize you really do have to get up. The solution to this snooze problem? The following:

…Although the truly stubborn will simply start hitting ‘dismiss’ instead of ‘snooze’ and go back to sleep. Resulting in potentially longer oversleeptness (I don’t think that is a word).

I saw this picture about a month and a half ago and decided to make the app for the iPhone. Here it is:https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/paytosnooze/id673654475?mt=8

It was a fun little project.

@Seamus McSeamus: Only a chosen few can wake up without hitting the snooze button. I salute you.

I woke up to the not-so-dulcet tone of one of those wind-up, analog alarm clocks for many years! Of course now I just use my phone app, like everyone else.

I have to say, though, that hitting the snooze has never been a problem for me. I have always gotten up on the first alarm. My wife, however, is an habitual snooze abuser!
