The industrial mixing robot displayed in the video below is quite remarkable. Developed by OMC, it is a multi-axis, multi-directional robot which rotates a container along 2 axes thus mixing and stirring much more quickly than conventional single axis systems. There are different variants of the robot but up to 700kg of material can be mixed in one go. OMC has plans for the robot to be used in food production as well as in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
