[CC] 5 Ashampoo software for free!

PC basics gave us a taste of Ashampoo freebies earlier this week. I hope I can continue the tradition by sharing information about how everyone can get 5 Ashampoo software for free!

Description of software, by Ashampoo:

Ashampoo Anti-Malware

The official successor of Ashampoo AntiSpyWare and Ashampoo AntiVirus has been developed from scratch and combines the best of both technologies all in one solution. The comprehensive security solution protects your PC and your data from external threats and blocks viruses, trojans, worms, malware, rootkits, bots, spyware and adware efficiently without putting so much as a strain on your computer’s performance. In addition, the software offers a variety of security tools (e.g. File Wiper, Internet Cleaner, Startup Tuner etc.) based on our prize winning Ashampoo WinOptimizer series. Thanks to its innovative design and intuitive GUI, Ashampoo Anti-Malware is very easy to operate.

Ashampoo Slideshow Studio Elements

Have you already shown your latest vacation pictures to your family and friends?

Or are the pictures still lying unseen on your PC?

Let your creativity rein free and create your own personal slideshow with Ashampoo Slideshow Studio Elements. Use, for example, subtitles to add descriptions to single pictures or add background sound to your slideshow. You can also change photos’ display length and lots more.

When you’re happy with your result, Ashampoo Slideshow Studio Elements produces a WMV file of the finished slideshow.

Don’t only copy your photos a hard drive and eventually forget about them, but create top-quality slideshows in order to show them to friends and family, give away as a gift or just to relive wonderful moments.

Ashampoo HDD-Control

Be honest. In the digital era where bits and bytes have the day, does anyone really think about which tasks are performed by the hardware found in your typical computer? Integrated hardware components, in particular highly delicate hard drives, are hard at work every day.

As long as the drive is functioning properly, you are lulled into a false sense of security. However, when the trusted hard drive suddenly fails, this is more than just a minor inconvenience. The resulting loss of data is often immensely damaging. Ashampoo HDD Control is therefore ideally suited to boost the performance of your drive, guard against disk failure and remove clutter from your hard drives, while performing all three functions of monitoring, maintenance and defragmentation.

Ashampoo Internet Accelerator 3

We all take the Internet for granted nowadays but what your computer has to do to allow you to surf is actually amazingly complicated. Windows has a long list of settings for tuning the performance of your Internet connection. That’s fine if you’re a computer expert, the rest of us will generally make things worse rather than better – if we can find all the well-hidden settings in the first place.

Ashampoo Internet Accelerator analyzes your computer and optimizes all the relevant settings with a single click. You don’t need to know anything, just select the automatic optimizer and you’re done. The new version also includes an Internet connection speed test tool so you can test your performance directly.

In addition to automatic optimization advanced users can still access all the individual settings and adjust them manually.

Ashampoo MyAutoplay Menu

When you insert a commercial program disc it will often start automatically with a graphical menu that lets you make choices like installing a program, displaying a web page, viewing documentation or information material and so on.

Building these discs and menus manually is a lot of work and requires programming skills – and even if you have the skills it takes a long time.

Ashampoo MyAutoplay Menu takes all the work out of building autoplay discs with a simple point-and-click interface. And it includes CD and DVD burning so that you can create your finished discs without leaving the program.

All five of the software mentioned above can be had for free! This promotion is being run through Facebook but I will provide directions on how non-Facebook users can take advantage of this offer, too.

Facebook Users

Login to your Facebook account. Visit the Ashampoo fanpage and ‘Like’ them. Visit their freebie page and you should see at the top a “Thank you liking us” image with a “Redeem Now” button. Click on the “Redeem Now” button. Once you click “Redeem Now” you will be brought to the promotion page on Ashampoo’s website; on that page click on the “Get downloads now” button. Once you click the “Get downloads now” button you will be given the ability to download any – or all – of the 5 software I mentioned above. Download them, install them, and register them like you register any other Ashampoo freebie. Take note to not install Ashampoo toolbar and crapware during installation, if you don’t want them. You have to opt-out.

Non-Facebook Users

Update by Ashraf: Apparently the non-Facebook method does not work in Opera. Use a different browser if you are having issues.

If you don’t use Facebook, you can skip the whole like-the-fanpage part and go straight to the promotion page on Ashampoo’s website. Once you are at the promotion page, click on the “Get downloads now” button; then download whichever software you want. After downloads finish, install the software and register them like you register any other Ashampoo freebie. Take note to not install Ashampoo toolbar and crapware during installation, if you don’t want them. You have to opt-out.

Different offer now, might have changed.
Here’s the new products it showed me:

    Ashampoo® Burning Studio 2010 Advanced

    Ashampoo® Home Designer

    Ashampoo® Photo Commander 7

    Ashampoo® Snap 3

    Ashampoo® WinOptimizer 6

Have not tried Ashampoo products lately, but based on past experience, they are jack of all trades, master of none and the programs I tried left excessive debris behind when I uninstalled them. Add to that the Facebook, toolbar and crapware added to this offer and I can only say; thank you, but .. NO thank you. I understand that it’s a free offer and a matter of personal choice, but I would rather make use of other, free programs which are more efficient and do not require me to dance to their undesirable tunes.

“Ashampoo Mouse Tracer is a fun little app from Ashampoo that can track mouse movements and show you statistics including how many feet the mouse moved, the speed and more based on day, week month, year and total.”
    (via google)

Same as post #10 bob samoa. I submitted name & email address and now i have been waiting 20 minutes
without any kind of reply from Ashampoo. I got the HDD version and unchecked check for updates/tool-bar; and the best i can tell it extends the trial version for 30 days. Too bad, i tried it out and it seemed to
be a nifty program, but given it is only a trial, then i must uninstall! Thanks though for your time and
what looked to be something good. Oh, i must note, i do not participate in any kind nor types of Social
    sites.

    Hi,

I don’t know if it is just me, but I found if I tried to do the “non-Facebook” method with Firefox, I got a different set of programs to download then what came up when I used Internet Explorer, so using both browsers gave me a total of 10 programs to download. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi

Downloaded and installed Anti-Malware using the non-Facebook method (Google Chrome browser), thank you !!

    — but upon attempting to register the software from the ‘Register aShampoo Anti-Malware’ tab inside the software, I get redirected to a page telling me this :

    [LICENCE NO] (expired)
    Renew now Full Version License

Further that the (expired) Licence can only be used to extend the initial 10 days of free updates, to another 30 days free updates

Therefore not free / not “guaranteed free and unrestricted”
    nor 180 days
    only max 40 days
but with “Licence expired” apparently only 10 days left

    What’s cooking ?

(aplogies in advance if I missed something, but haven’t been able to find an alternative method — don’t use FB due to privacy issues)

    Mr. Boss

@justnakenny: That is odd. When I tested out this freebie (before approving the post), the non-Facebook method worked just fine. But you are right — it no longer works, instead you are redirected to some older freebies. Sorry… it looks like you need Facebook for this one!

Well, here I am again, the dumb one. I click on the get downloads now button and it offers me five choices alright, but the ARE NOT the same five that were on the page before. What’s up with that?
