The Google Glass Explorer Edition that’s currently out in the wild is an impressive device. The roughly 2000 lucky owners of Glass have shown that it could be used for a variety of things, but many have already begun questioning how useful this thing really is. In its current form, Google Glass can perform search queries, bring up relevant data like the weather and directions, and take photos or video. But in the future, it will undoubtedly be able to do so much more.
A concept video from Playground Inc. shows us all the possibilities that a couple of years with developers will do, and I have to say, it’s impressive stuff. Imagine being able to do things like send and receive messages while on the move, pay for your coffee, see your shopping cart total in a store that isn’t on your computer screen and maybe even save someone’s life.
There’s even something for gamers in there: Not having a HUD covering up the screen would be just lovely. Hurry up developers!
