[CC] Free Aimersoft DVD Creator!

A few days ago I noticed Ashraf’s post about DVD Flick. While reading the comments, it seems to me DVD Flick is a hit or miss software — for some people it works, for others it does not. If you are one of the people who have been failed by DVD Flick, you may want to give Aimersoft DVD Creator a go. Like DVD Flick, Aimersoft DVD Creator is a DVD authoring software package.

The following is a description of Aimersoft DVD Creator, as per the developer:

“Promotion” link no longer goes to a giveaway page, so I guess this offer is over. Too bad, looked good.

The developers of this product deserve a bit of a wrap….I used it to make a DVD with 350+ high res photo’s and video’s taken from a recent trip to Europe. Was really impressed with the slick, professional looking results – multiple menu’s and you can chose different background images, templates, background music, your own customised background’s and music, animations, etc. Its very flexible, customisable and very easy to use. No A/V sync issues, crashed on me once (not sure why), but seems fairly robust overall.

I rate this product very highly – thankyou to Wondershare and dottech for the giveaway.

must have been a very short-lived promotion, ‘coz it is apparently all over now. Too bad, looked good.

I missed it too, I was wondering whether it was better than Convert2DVD? :-(

  • :-( missed it

    Thanks Nick, for responding.
I will give it a go.

Certainly not as comprehensive as more expensive programs such as Photoshop Premiere Elements, but this app certainly works very nicely, and I would think that even beginners to the DVD creating process will be able to get this going pretty quickly. Thanks to John1947, dottech.org, and Aimersoft for the opportunity to try this free of charge. I will definitely be recommending this to friends to try.

@Rob (Down Under): G’Day Rob, just to share my thoughts with you – I’m not sure if it will work, but I reckon you should give it a go. The Aimersoft web-site doesn’t list any T&C’s about the giveaway, therefore I could only go by the assumption that if you download and register, then you should be able to install it on your new PC in the near future (Hopefully).

    Have a great weekend.

Would be great to hear back in a “mini-review” or 2 from those who try this out. DVD Flick has been fine for me, but always nice to hear of alternatives–

  • Thanks for the tip John1947 & Ashraf.
It didn’t works with an e-mail of AOL, well with a 10 minutes e-mail!

  • Phil K

TBF, I unticked the box and I got the serial no problem

Thank You Ashraf for the offer & wish you and all a Good & Healthy Future for all!

My PCs are all about 2004, and they die. Thus I have a few.
If I follow the steps to download and register, and that PC dies in a couple of months.
Will I be able to install, and register in the replacement PC ?

@Thaijay: It worked for me. Might not work for you if you use your hotmail/live/gmail/yahoo email account. Its happened to me previously with Wondershare giveaways.

If that doesn’t work, then try leaving the newsletter checkbox marked. Subscribing to their newsletter in return for a freebie is not a bad deal.

  • Thaijay

Odd – promo page with accept newsletter unmarked – no response in mailbox. promo page with accept newsletter marked gives instant serial number.

  • Ashraf

@StanFi: We look forward to your feedback. Have a great weekend!

@NickK: Yep, Aimersoft is owned/run by Wondershare.

  • NickK

    Thanks for the post.

It looks good. I’ll give it a go. There’s no mention of an expiry date for this giveaway, therefore I’m assuming you can grab it as long as you download and register while the giveaway is running.

I’ve never used DVDFlick as it never received the best user reviews. However, I have used AVStoDVD and DVDAuthorGUI successfully on many occassions.

Seems like Aimersoft is just another business thats part of Wondershare.

Does anyone know what burning engine Aimersoft DVD Creator uses ? I cannot find any info on whether it uses Microsoft SPTI or some other 3rd party engine (like, Patin-Couffin). I prefer to steer clear of any program that uses Patin-Couffin drivers.

    Thanks Again

Hey John1947, Thank you for review/offering & Wondershare Software for offering this freebie
I will try this software for 1 reason I downloaded Video converter Standard in December from GAOTD and was happy enough to uninstall 3 other video converters. It was the quickest & most accurate video converter out of numerous downloads I have used.
I will update you when I have a chance to utilize their DVD Creator. I presently have Nero & a couple of other DVD Creation software. I have 1 question John in your description you state “add text”, shall I assume to slideshows, not subtitles to movies?
    Have a good weekend ALL!
