Apologies for so many repeat emails!


Lately, it seems like dotTech has been having server issue after issue, and I seem to be apologizing a lot. However, when an apology is due, I’m not one to stand by.

Today dotTech had an issue that overloaded the CPU on our server. This not only caused dotTech to crawl at a snail’s pace and generate 500/503 and database errors for about six hours, but it also caused some dotTechies to receive dozens of the same email. Sending the same email multiple times was not, and never is, intentional — it was a mistake related to the overloaded CPU.

I sincerely apologize to everyone! I have taken care of the issue now (I hope) and you should no longer receive dozens of the same emails.

    I second David’s sentiments! Besides, I’m not too bright and have to re-re-re-read everything anyway. So, the repeat emails actually save me time by eliminating my having to scroll back to the top. :-)

    This is the new model of the Commodore 64 (It’s a PC in a old fashion shell) =)

    But considering this weeks issues I think they might as well downgrade to the originals they would have more stability.

    None the less I’m glad that the issues are getting resolved… as for multiple e-mails that’s what gmail tags are for..

    Kinda’ thought it might be a server issue; Was receiving the same message about every 15-20 minutes.

    Thought you REALLY wanted us to read that particular bit of info! Got to say, I am really not THAT into Font management…

    No excess email received here. Servers have issues now and then and deleting any excess is not a problem! Thanks for all the info. you share!
