You’re probably well aware by now that you can get practically everything you need from Amazon these days. But did you know that you could soon be getting your groceries delivered straight to your door from Amazon as well?
AmazonFresh is Amazon’s online grocery delivery service that’s been in testing since 2007. The service has only been available in the Seattle area but now it’s coming to Los Angeles this week and San Francisco later this year. Here’s what you can expect from AmazonFresh if it hits your area:
- A full selection of fresh groceries, including produce, dairy, meat and seafood — even alcohol
- Fast, overnight delivery
- Thousands of best-selling Amazon.com items to add right to your grocery order
- FREE delivery on qualifying orders
Sounds pretty much like the regular Amazon, except for groceries. According to Gizmodo, if AmazonFresh is successful in its new cities, it could hit 20 major cities by 2014. Then we’ll never have to leave our homes again.
