Sony has announced that it will be bringing the redesigned PS Vita to the US this Spring. The new model of the Vita, which launched in Japan last year, features a body that is approximately 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the previous model. The look of the system has also been tweaked and its edges have been made rounder for a more comfortable grip. Battery life has been bumped by an hour, although the tradeoff is that its highly-praised 5-inch OLED has been replaced with an LCD screen.

The new and slimmer PS Vita will arrive in the US as part of a bundle that comes with an 8GB memory card and a copy of Borderlands 2 for $199.
