Motorola announces beautiful Moto 360, the first Android Wear smartwatch

For Google’s announcement of Android Wear, it heavily featured a particular watch in its promotional images and video. That watch is Motorola’s own Moto 360, which will be one of the very first smartwatches to take advantage of Android Wear.

Unlike other smartwatches, the Moto 360 looks almost exactly like a regular watch. A big part of that has to do with its rounded display, but it’s also the metal casing and the elegance of its design. Right now we know that there will be both leather and metal straps, and Motorola says it’ll release in a variety of styles. We don’t know much else, especially in terms of specs, but videos do feature voice recognition and Motorola says it’ll turn on when you lift your wrist to look at it. The Moto 360 will release sometime this summer, beginning in the US.
