This root guide is for the Nokia X, Nokia X+, or Nokia XL running Android Nokia X 1.0 UI . It is specifically for the Nokia X, Nokia X+, or Nokia XL.
Before We Begin
Rooting the Nokia X, Nokia X+, or Nokia XL is done with an Android app called Framaroot. It’s best to download Framaroot directly to the device with a mobile web browser (it’s faster that way). Scan the QR code to the right or click this link.
Once it has been downloaded, use the pre-installed Astro file manager to navigate to the downloads folder. Inside the downloads folder, install Framaroot.apk.
How To Root The Nokia X, Nokia X+, or Nokia XL
Rooting the Nokia X, Nokia X+, or Nokia XL is as simple as running the newly installed app. Open the app drawer on the device and look for an App called Framaroot, and inside Framaroot, click Gandalf. Launch the app and it’ll begin the rooting process. This process may take some time, but after a while, it’ll be finished and you can reboot your device. After the restart, you’ll have root!
