We haven’t quite seen anything out of Motorola regarding their upcoming Moto X phone besides a confirmation of its existence a few months back, but it appears that will be changing very soon. An official newspaper ad has revealed some interesting details about the phone, as well as marks the beginning of what will most likely be a major marketing push by Google for the Moto X.
The ad, which is set to appear today in newspapers like The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal, first touts the fact that the phone will be designed, engineered and assembled in the USA.
But the more interesting tidbit comes after. It says the Moto X will be “the first smartphone you can design yourself.” Whether that means you’ll be able to customize the phone’s specs, aesthetics or even both is unclear at this point but it’s a confirmation of previous rumors and a very exciting prospect — I mean, what could they possibly mean?
We’ll find out soon enough, however, as Motorola says that the phone is coming soon. In the mean time, check out the full ad:
In other news, Ashraf has shat his pants… again.
